This Privacy Policy applies to the Novelx mobile application, the Novelx website at novelx.online, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). In this Policy, “Novelx,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of the Services.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

2. Information we collect

Information you choose to provide

You may provide information when contacting support, applying to become a writer or publisher, submitting content, reporting an interaction, or communicating with our team.

Information collected automatically

Our servers automatically receive limited technical and usage information required to deliver, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Services. If analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or purchase services are introduced or enabled, this Policy and the relevant app-store disclosures will be updated to identify the applicable practices.

3. How we use information

• Create and manage accounts, authenticate users and provide password recovery.
• Deliver published titles and chapters and synchronize reading progress across supported devices.
• Maintain favourites, bookmarks, reading history and “Continue Reading” features.
• Process creator applications and operate drafting, submission, editorial review and publishing workflows.
• Display approved ratings, reviews, comments and likes and investigate user reports.
• Personalize discovery features and calculate popularity or trending signals using engagement information.
• Secure the Services, prevent abuse, enforce our rules and protect users, creators and Novelx.
• Respond to support, privacy and account requests.
• Maintain, diagnose, measure and improve performance and reliability.
• Comply with legal obligations and establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

4. How we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information in these limited circumstances:

• Public activity: Approved reviews, comments, ratings and creator or author information intended for publication may be visible to other users.
• Service providers: Hosting, email, storage, security, support and other vendors may process information only to provide services to us and subject to appropriate safeguards.
• Legal and safety reasons: We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, investigate fraud or abuse, or protect rights and safety.
• Business changes: Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring or sale of assets, subject to applicable law.
• With your direction: We may share information when you ask us to or provide consent.

5. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, maintain your account, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it is processed.

After account deletion, information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless retention is required for legal, fraud-prevention, security, financial, rights-management or dispute-resolution purposes. Public contributions may be removed or de-identified where appropriate. Backup copies may remain temporarily until they are overwritten through normal backup cycles.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. These include encrypted HTTPS connections, hashed passwords, access controls, token-based authentication, validation, rate limiting and role-based authorization. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Keep your password and device secure. Do not share authentication tokens. Contact us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

7. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, object to or restrict certain processing, or withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

• You can update supported profile details within the app.
• You can remove favourites, bookmarks and reading-history entries through the app.
• You can edit or delete your own reviews and comments where the feature is available.
• You can sign out of one device or revoke access across all devices.
• You may contact us to exercise any additional applicable privacy right.

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Authorized agents may be required to provide proof of authority. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

8. Account and data deletion

You can request deletion of your Novelx account and associated personal information by emailing adnanquraishi00@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account. Use the subject line “Novelx Account Deletion Request.”

Please include your registered email address and account name. We may ask you to complete a reasonable identity-verification step. We will acknowledge the request and process it within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Deleting the mobile app does not delete your account. Some records may be retained where legally required or necessary for security, fraud prevention, content-rights documentation, moderation history or dispute resolution, as explained in the retention section.

9. Children’s privacy

Novelx is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Local law may require a higher minimum age. Users below the applicable age must not create an account without any consent required from a parent or legal guardian.

If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to this section, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. International processing

Novelx and its service providers may process information in countries other than your country of residence. Data-protection laws in those locations may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

11. Third-party links and services

The Services may contain links to creator portfolios or other third-party websites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Policy. Review their policies before providing personal information.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our features, technologies or legal obligations change. We will post the revised Policy with a new “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after an update is subject to the revised Policy.
